Alita: Battle Angel

The best thing about the future is that you don’t know what’s coming. The worst thing is not remembering who you are. There is a difference and it matters.
In the year 2563 - it could be any year as long as it’s too far away to make sense - Dr Ido (Christoph Waltz} is searching the rubbish dump which stretches forever at basement level under everyone’s feet for robot parts. He likes to put stuff together like a mechanic of new tech.
On this trip he finds something much more interesting. He finds Alita. Or rather parts of her. She is a cyborg with a human heart that still beats. The doc fills in the missing pieces and she’s good to go. She doesn’t know who she is, where she comes from, what she’s clever at, if anything.
She might be a drone, a worker or a follower. She learns that her skills are violent although her spirit is not. How does she fit in? Where?
She looks 16 and fights like a Black Belt of 28. The actor is Rosa Salazar, a name to remember. The bad people, and there are a bunch of them, want to harvest her unique talent but she is too quick for them. With its CGI clever-dickery the kick boxing is controlled and packed. The plot is the prob. Unlike the action It doesn’t move.
