Marcos (Marco Hernandez) is a driver for a general in one of the cities in Mexico. Ana (Anapola Mushkadiz) is the daughter of the general and also a very dirty young lady. Marcos has known Ana for quite some time and has lusted after her for as long as he can remember. Marcos also has a problem. His wife (Bertha Ruiz) and he are still dealing with the problem of a kidnap gone wrong when the child that they snatched suddenly dies. And you thought you had a hard life...

One of the outstanding moments of this movie is that it opens with Ana giving some oral loving to Marcos. When you see the two you can't help but think, why would someone like her do that to someone like him? Well, if you are like me, you will watch the movie to find out.

What follows is a film with a strange blend of beauty (the country) and weirdness (a scene in which Marcos watches a football game). One thing I can say is this: on the cover sleeve there is a warning regarding the use of real sex in this film but until you actually watch it you don't really grasp that real sex in some cases is bad sex.

Hey, I'm like any other guy who enjoys a bit of screen sex, but not this time.

The pace is very slow, but the use of scenery and writer/director Carlos Reygadas' attention to detail makes it enjoyable enough and keeps you watching to see how it will end.

This is not the type of movie you can watch with your brain switched off. What, for example, does the last shot really mean?
