Boy Lost Girl

What would you do if you meet your dream girl on a train? If you’re in this short film, you go to extraordinary lengths to find her.
Boy meets girl, boy loses girl… but can boy get girl back again? There is a dry humour running through this short, as our plucky chap (Manuel Klein) takes on the transport authority with his fliers, including a nice stand-off with a municipal cleaner.
There is a pace about the direction, which has an energetic pop video feel. There are also some nice directorial ideas – particularly the sensible decision to leave the audience wanting more by hinting at things off camera rather than shoving them in our face.
The plot, however, is slight and slightly predictable, a 15 minute runtime would have done it more justice than 22.
