Dennis Potter's Cold Lazarus And Karaoke
Reviewed by: James Benefield
Dennis Potter - whose work is characterised by a mix of fantasy and reality - finished his last works shortly before his death in 1994. Diagnosed with cancer and given six months to live, he raced against time to finish his final work, telling his last interviewer, as he battled the disease: "My only regret is if I die four pages too soon."
A mixture of elegy and sharp observation, the two-four part dramas have been released as a box set.
