Dominic Lyddon's animated pop video bears the influence of Fritz Lang. This is the moving image steeped in the machine age, with collages building, cut-outs spinning and cubes flickering and flying past.

In fact, the end result becomes quite frenzied, which although in some respects this suits the techno music, it means that there is no real central theme.

Abstraction is fine - and there is no doubting Lyddon's graphic mastery - but some recurring imagery would make this clever animation a lot more memorable.

Out to own as part of the Final Cut: Take Three DVD short film collection.
