This film centres on one weekend in the lives of roommates Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) and their quest to quell their marijuana-induced fast food lust. From Jesus freak sex maniacs to riding cheetahs through the forest, the film is a non-stop gasp fest. And just when you think their luck could not get any worse, it does.

As with all movies of the Road Trip/Dude, Where's My Car? genre, the plot line is loose at best, strung together by a series of unfortunate misadventures that eventually take our protagonists to their happy ending. The great thing is that it doesn't need subplots, or character development - one of the main starring roles is a big bag of weed. Cho and Penn do an excellent job and Penn cracks some really great jokes along the way - Cho is supposed to be the uptight one.

This is a truly enjoyable film, as it doesn't take itself any more seriously than is necessary to sell itself as a funny stoner flick. The script isn't Shakespeare, but the dialogue is well written and the gags are as un-PC as they come, which is just what a good comedy needs these days.

If you want your pop to squirt out of your nose, go see this movie.
