Eye For Film >> Movies >> Home On The Range (2004) Film Review
For the first 10 minutes, Home On The Range promises to be that rare treat, an old fashioned Disney film.
This possibility has added poignancy, as this is the last traditional cartoon feature Disney plans to make, now that CGI animation reigns supreme.
It features the voices of Roseanne Barr and Dame Judi Dench as a pair of Wild West cows that set out to capture a cattle rustler and save their farm.
However, despite a promising opening, the film quickly descends into Saturday morning wackiness, with a range of jokes and parodies - Sergio Leone? Nightclub bouncers? - that kids won't get, and adults won't like.
Good songs, though.
