I Still Know What You Did Last Summer

WHEN slasher franchises lose the plot, fear goes out the window. "I Still Know" makes no sense whatsoever. All that's left of a complicated first run serial killer storyline is the resurrection of Capt Hook and a new set of friends to terrorise.
As with the "Halloween" guy, Hook moves incredibly slowly. He wears a grease-proof fisherman's cowl that hides his face and has the ability to appear and disappear wherever and whenever he wants. He is not some kind of Freddy spook. He is supposed to be a person. A sick person. A strong sick person. And yet ordinary obstacles, such as locked doors, don't seem to bother him.
The four friends are cliché fodder. They are lured to an isolated island on the Bahamas, inhabited by a handful of wierdo eccentrics, just as the end-of-season weather turns nasty. Capt Hook is in situ, of course, slashing away. There is much running and screaming, dead bodies in closets, oodles of blood, buckets full of rain. Sex, surprisingly, is on hold. Don't say, "I've seen no evidence of a psycho killer." It makes Hooky mad.
