Night Is Day: The Web Series - Episode One
Reviewed by: Angus Wolfe Murray
A man with light bulb eyes saves a girl from a street mugger and is injured in the process. The girl dresses his wound, but the man seems paranoid about being touched.
“Bad things keep happening to me,” he complains.
Apparently, after his girlfriend left him, he went out on the razz and was hit by a car. Ever since, he has suffered from superheroitis and can’t stop helping people in distress, like the woman about to be battered to death by a gang of schoolgirls.
He goes to see a psychic, wearing red pajamas, in a field.
“What am I supposed to do?” he asks.
“Whatever feels right,” says the psychic, wisely.
The director does not put his name on the film. The script is by Fraser Coull. Let’s blame him. Apparently a spoof, Night Is Day suffers from Timberland performances and no real purpose. The switch on/switch off eyeballs are fun, but Electricman, if indeed it is he, needs to lighten up.
Boom! Boom!
