So You Want To Make It In The Film Business?
Reviewed by: Amber Wilkinson
It's hard to know whether director Tony Moon and writer Piers Halliwell are aiming to make it in the film biz themselves, or if they're really trying out for the comedy end of things, since this short film is really an extended sketch.
There are people - a writer, a director, a producer and more - and the film cuts between them as a narrator tells you what each, in turn, has to do with a film that's being made.
It's funny to a point, although a little predictable and - surprisingly - slightly overlong at three minutes. This idea has been explored before and although competently handled here - and decently narrated - it lacks the crackle of originality.
Out to own as part of the Final Cut: Take Three DVD short film collection.
