"One of the leading lights in New German Cinema."

Rainer Werner Fassbinder came to be one of the leading lights in New German Cinema - a loose term used to describe a group of West German films made from the Sixties onwards. They were frequently experimental and tended to represent the contemporary, divided German state in a bleak light. Many critics felt the era came to some sort of close with the suicide of Fassbinder in 1982.

This eight-disc collection, represents the latter part of his work. It comprises:
