This Old House

Three teenagers, a haunted house and things that go bump in the night. All that's missing is Scooby-Doo.
As a horror spoof for the under-15s, this has comic flushes. It lacks the madness of Matthew Lillard and isn't quite scary enough, but it's fun and has a charming punchline.
Katie Brown, as the only girl in the bunch, is allowed to boss the boys around, mainly/typically because she is so SENSIBLE. Craig Steele and Drew McCusker, as the tagalongs, act frightened mostly and want to go home.
Writer/director Jack Lothian enjoys those deliciously creepy moments, like when dusty dolls on a bookshelf turn their heads to watch the intruders. One of the boys is seen squatting on his sleeping bag, licking an ice cream cone and you think, where did that come from?
No matter. What's important is staying close to Katie and not listening to the spectral voice when it turns up the volume.
