Trauma is the latest disappointing Britflick to suffer from a nonsensical plot and showy direction.

It has an impressive cast, featuring Colin Firth, as an artist losing his mind after his wife's death, while at the same time becoming implicated in the murder of a famous pop star.

This horror thriller attempts to keep us on edge by reflecting his fragmented psyche, with the result that it is impossible to follow what's going on.

Once the credits rolled, I still had no idea what had happened, or even which characters had been real or imaginary.
