Sex, power and criminality in 14 mins!
Jake West has the ability to tell a long story quickly. He avoids the traditional booby traps and retains an energetic pace throughout.
A small time gang boss marries an Irish girl. He's a show off, who fancies himself as a sexual athlete. She's so much smarter. While enjoying the rough stuff, carnally speaking, she's no shrinking violet when it comes to business. As he starts cracking under the pressure, losing confidence and control, she steps in. His tough guy persona is a cover up, compared to the ruthless determination lurking beneath her seductive charms.
West maintains a sharp, cynical edge to this modern romance. He handles a complex plot with precision and the editing is especially fine. The only weakness is the acting.
