Fully titled "MOTION STUDIES An Ongoing Series of Experiments 97: Inertia", this is a tiny film at just two minutes in length, but it's a lot of fun.

A single rolling shot follows someone in a suit of armour as they break into a run from a standing start. There'd be scope for a long digression about what constitutes plate and the distinctions between subclassifcations of armour from that period and modern reproductions, but that way lies madness and tables of pole-arm effectiveness.

Suffice to say it's heavy, and it shows. As our hero clanks into motion, sword in hand, the camera slides along beside him. It doesn't sound like much, and it isn't but it raises a smile, and then a laugh, one of the most basic kind: Watching someone fall over is funny.
