Family Guy: Season 2

Read Gator MacReady's film review of Family Guy: Season 2Season 2 suffers from the same problems as Season 1 in regards to the jagged lines and rough edges that cripple the picture quality. Aside from this, the show's bright colour palette looks great and there are absolutely no other flaws. The aspect ratio is 1:33.1, as drawn.
The Dolby 2.0 soundtrack is adequate and serviceable, but nothing special. Surround capacity is sparse, but there is good use of stereo effects. The sound is a little too quiet overall and you might find yourself turning your decoder up past reference level.
If you're jealous of the extras on the Region 1 DVD, don't be. Seth McFarlane's audio commentaries were censored by Fox and the rest is just superficial fluff. I don't particularly mind the absence of extras on these sets, as they fill up too much space, require more discs and raise the price.
Just enjoy the madness with carefree abandon.
