From Afar is the debut by Lorenzo Vigas, which tells the story of wealthy middle-aged Armando (Alfredo Castro), who lures young men to his home with money. He doesn’t want to touch, only watch... but an encounter with tough teenager changes both their lives.
Heart Of A Dog focues on Anderson's[ rat terrier Lolabelle, who died in 2011. It is described by the festival as a "personal essay that weaves together childhood memories, video diaries, philosophical musings on data collection, surveillance culture and the Buddhist conception of the afterlife".
Anderson will also participate in LFF Connects the Festival’s talks. LFF Connects: Performance/Music with Laurie Anderson will take place at BFI Southbank on Thursday, October 15 at 12.45pm.
