Hungerford: Symphony Of A London Bridge
Reviewed by: James Gracey
Exquisitely photographed by Peter Harmer and fully utilising a jostling score by James McWilliam, Alex Barrett and Rahim Moledina’s film consists of an impressive series of meticulously composed shots of a London bridge.
The resulting film calls to mind the bygone era of silent filmmaking as the art of cinematic storytelling is stripped back to its basics.
The orchestral score adds a touch of drama and grandiose excess to what is essentially a day in the life of a bridge, and elevates it to a story of epic proportions.
