Getting a twist into a short film can be hard to pull off but Alec Boehm and Stephanie Argy manage a raft of them in this slick short.
An Actor, played by Bryan Larkin and woman, Mary-ann Cerruti have a meeting with a mob boss, Hamish Menzies to, it seems, cut their ties and go their separate ways but things take an unusual turn in the most unconventional way. To say anymore would spoil this work, but this is quality entertainment.
Nothing is as it seems and all is revealed in a series of stylised and varying shooting styles. The performances are strong and Larkin and Menzies in particular have an intensity that lifts this film above the pack. Larkin has been doing quite a lot of indie short and feature films recently, let's hope his big break isn't too far away.
