Doc/Fest attendees announced

Morgan Spurlock, Nick Broomfield and others will join a stellar line-up.

Some of the biggest names if the documentary world are set to attend this year's Sheffield Doc/Fest, which runs from 8 to 12 June. Supersize Me's Morgan Spurlock will introduce his new film Pom Wonderful: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold and will discuss his career, while Nick Broomfield, the man behind Biggie And Tupac, will give a masterclass in investigative filmmaking. Gareth Unwin and Simon Egan, who worked on The King's Speech, will talk about the importance of research and how documentary projects can end up morphing into dramas.

Also attending will be John Akomfrah, who will present his new film The Nine Muses and discuss his creative process, looking at what style can contribute to a persuasive documentary. Bruce Parry will discuss how he learned to live among the Inuit when making Arctic, and will talk about his travels and adventures as a filmmaker. Fans can also look forward to meeting Molly Dineen, Albert Maysles, Adam Curtis and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.
