Halle Berry suffers head injury on set

Actress released from hospital, returns to filming.

Halle Berry was rushed to hospital last night after she fell on the set of her latest production and hit her head on concrete. Fortunately, her injuries appear to be minor and she has now been released.

Berry was in Los Angeles filming The Hive, in which she plays an emergency services telephone operator who may be the only one able to save Abigail Breslin from a killer. The fall occurred during a fight scene. She was taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Hospital so that her condition could be assessed, but was discharged later that evening. Berry previously suffered a head injury on the set of Catwoman as well as breaking her foot during the Cloud Atlas shoot last year and, back in 2002, injuring her eye when filming Bond flick Die Another Day.

The set of The Hive was closed down whilst Berry was in hospital but production is now expected to continue as scheduled.
