Tribeca Film Festival has announced this year’s Tribeca Talks series.

Its Director Series will feature Interstellar director Chistopher Nolan with Bennett Miller, Star Wars creator George Lucas with Stephen Colbert, Sin Nombre's Cary Fukunaga with James Schamus and The Incredibles director Brad Bird with Janeane Garofalo.

The festival's After The Movie series - which included the announcement about four additional documentaries to be screened - was also detailed. It will include talks with David Holbrooke, after the world premiere of his documentary The Diplomat - a look at the legacy left by Ambassador Richard Holbrooke - and director Leah Wolchok and cartoon editor of the New Yorker Bob Mankoff, who will talk about her film Very Semi-Serious.

The world premiere of Robin Hauser Reynolds’ CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap and the New York premieres of Brett Morgen’s Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck and Kevin Pollak’s Misery Loves Comedy were also added to the programme.

The festival's Conversations series will feature producer Harvey Weinstein, former spy Valerie Plame and documentarian Alex Gibney.

The annual Sloan retrospective salute will be Good Will Hunting, followed by a conversation with director Gus Van Sant and guests.

Executive vice president of Tribeca Enterprises Paula Weinstein said: “Each year, the conversations we offer are among the Tribeca’s most anticipated and sought-after events and we’re proud of the participants we’re going to hear from this year.

“These panels offer unique insights into the filmmaking process and give audiences an opportunity to learn from industry leaders across a wide range of subjects and contribute to the conversation.”
