Actor Danny DeVito received a Donostia Award for lifetime achievement at Sebastian Film Festival last night.
The star - who provides the voice for animation Smallfoot, which is screening at the festival - received the award from The Impossible director Juan Antonio Bayona to a lengthy ovation in a packed Kursaal theatre.
Clearly thrilled with the award, DeVito said: "This is a great honour. I'm so happy to be here. I'm overwhelmed by the generosity of all the people here. All the fans and all of you for treating me so kindly and I will treasure this forever.
"I want to dedicate this to our movie fans, to all the people who scrape together a couple of bucks to go to the movies and see the movies on the big screen, the way the writers, the directors, the producers want them to be seen. I love you all for it and I love you for this and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you."
