David Yarovesky's horror film Brightburn will have a preview screening at Edinburgh's Festival Theatre on Sunday 16 June, before this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival kicks off.

The film - which is produced by Guardians Of The Galaxy's James Gunn - stars Elizabeth Banks as a woman whose dreams of motherhood come true with the arrival of a mysterious baby. But as their child, Brandon (Jackson A Dunn) nears puberty, a powerful darkness manifests within him. What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?

Tickets are available for the fim - which goes on general release on June 19 - from the EIFF website.
