Actress Léa Seydoux who appears in no less four films in this year’s Cannes Film Festival, looks likely to miss one of the most anticipated premieres tomorrow (Monday 12 July) of Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch.

Seydoux who starred in the Palme d’Or winning Blue Is The Warmest Colour in 2013, may also have to bow out of the screenings of Arnaud Desplechin’s Deception; Bruno Dumont’s France; and Ildikó Enyedi’s The Story Of My Wife.

Her publicist has confirmed that she is asymptomatic and isolating at home in Paris. She hopes that negative tests on consecutive days could still allow her to put in an appearance at the Festival which continues until 17 July. Seydoux has been fully vaccinated.

She has been working on the production of a new film and during the shoot she is believed to have contracted Covid.
