A writer, researcher and inveterate drinker of Diet Coke, Rebecca lives vicariously through books and films in the wilds of Newcastle upon Tyne. Her earliest memory of going to the cinema is Santa Claus: The Movie at age six and her most embarrassing lapse of cinematic knowledge occurred at age 20, blurting out "The Railway Children" when asked which film with a famous train sequence was a visual influence on Schindler's List - Rebecca would like it noted that she had not seen Lawrence Of Arabia at that point.
These days she is particularly fond of thrillers, documentaries, ambiguous endings and anything starring Ricardo Darín, but enjoys watching a wide range of films from around the world. Rebecca blogs about Spanish cinema at Nobody Knows Anybody and can be found complaining about a variety of topics on twitter @bookworm1979
