Underground and Japan In A Day added to LFF schedule

WikiLeaks drama and earthquake remembrance documentary join line-up

by Amber Wilkinson

Documentaries Underground and Japan In A Day have been added to the London Film Festival line-up.

The festival - which runs from October 10 to 21 - will host the European premiere of Underground, which sees Balibo director Robert Connolly dramatise the early years of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Japan In A Day will screen to coincide with its World Premiere at Tokyo International Film Festival on October 20. The film, inspired by Kevin Macdonald's Life In A Day, asked people across Japan to pick up a camera on the anniversary of the catastrophic Great East Japan Earthquake and capture something about their day. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with some of the film's contributors live from Tokyo.
