Dead By Dawn line-up revealed

Edinburgh horror festival celebrates 20 gory years.

by Jennie Kermode

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Dead By Dawn horror film festival will return to Edinburgh next month with a full slate of scary stuff. From Japanese psycho-thriller Abductee to US monster movie Big Ass Spider, there's plenty to thrill fans, plus there'll be special guests and opportunities to take home prizes.

Alongside new films like Jug Face and The Battery, both of which will have their directors in attendance, there's a welcome return to the big screen for genre classics like Hellraiser and An American Werewolf In London. There will also the annual Shit Film Amnesty, where attendees are invited to bring the very worst of their DVD collections and see who can win the lot.

The festival will take place in the Filmhouse from 25-28 May. You can see our coverage so far here.
