The Film Society of Lincoln Center will honor Ethan Hawke on September 30 and Richard Gere on October 8 during the 52nd New York Film Festival with a dinner and conversation with Director of Programming and Selection Committee Chair Kent Jones. Gere is starring in Oren Moverman's Time Out Of Mind and Hawke's documentary Seymour: An Introduction will be screened during the festival.

Ethan Hawke is currently starring in Richard Linklater's Boyhood with Patricia Arquette, Ellar Coltrane and Lorelei Linklater. At the New York premiere Hawke told me "I think the movie feels nostalgic for people like us because we remember being a kid. If you're a kid in the first person, I don't think it's about memory."

The Film Society of Lincoln Center's Executive Director Lesli Klainberg said, "We are very excited to be honoring two men that have built very successful careers enjoying both critical and box-office success, yet - as evidenced by their films at this year’s New York Film Festival - are still exploring as artists and doing some of their best work yet.”

Past honorees include Pedro Almodóvar, David Cronenberg, Nicole Kidman, former Director of Programming and Selection Committee Chair Richard Peña, and last year’s guests, Cate Blanchett and Ralph Fiennes.

The dinners and conversations will take place in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center presented by Jaeger-LeCoultre and will benefit the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

The 52nd New York Film Festival runs from September 26 - October 12
