The Horror Channel and Frightfest have agreed a one year deal which will see the television company continue to sponsor the popular film festival, it was revealed today. The festival will once again be held at the Cineworld Leicester Square and The Prince Charles Cinema in London

"We are thrilled to continue to be part of Frightfest – the event that brings together the genre community over the Summer bank holiday, year after year," said Horror Channel manager Stewart Bridle, noting that the channel will be running films themed around the festival for 13 nights in August. This will include 26 films previously shown at the festival, five of which have not been shown on TV in the UK before.

"Frightfest wouldn’t be the same without Horror Channel’s participation and diehard support," said festival co-director Grey Day. "Aside from the immense passion and know-how they bring to the event, the Horror Channel team add colour (mostly red), tremendous energy and help make sure all the fans have a bloody good time!"

This year's Frightfest will run from the 23rd to the 27th of August.
