Belfast will be the go-to place for documentary fans this summer as Docs Ireland shines a spotlight on local talent, and midway through the event, on 21 and 22 June, industry decision-makers will be gathering in the city to take a look at what's on offer in the Docs Ireland marketplace. Filmmakers still have three days to submit their projects is they want to get them noticed by big players including Screen Ireland, the Documentary Association of Europe and the Sundance Film Festival.

"The only doc-specific hub of funding, sales and distribution on the island of Ireland, the marketplace continues to go from strength to strength each year, providing an opportunity for filmmakers to meet one-to-one in carefully curated meetings with decision makers and consultants from the world of non-fiction," said Roisín Geraghty, Docs Ireland Head of Industry.

Though only in its sixth year, the festival has already launched one BIFA winner in the form of Chloe Abrahams’ The Taste Of Mango, and hopes are high for this year's entrants.

We will be bringing you coverage of the festival here at Eye For Film.
