The 15th edition of the Glasgow Film Festival opened with the UK première of Jonah Hill's Mid90s and closed with Beats, a story set in Scotland's rave culture. It included seven world premières and 102 UK premières. Six out of the ten nominees for the prestigious Glasgow Film Festival Audience Award were new features directed by women. Special strands included a focus on new Belgian cinema and a look back to the great US movies of 1969, plus there was a strand dedicated to the underappreciated work of Elaine May.
The festival runs from 20 February to 3 March.
