The 68th edition of the Edinburgh International Film Festival will run from June 18 to 29. It opened with the world premiere of Hyena and close with the international premiere of We'll Never Have Paris. Among the stars expected on the red carpet are Elijah Wood, Don Johson and Noel Clarke.

The Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film was given to Hide And Seek, Best International Feature Film was named as Ice Poison and Best Documentary Feature Film went to My Name Is Salt.

Submissions for the 2015 festival open on November 3, 2014. The organisers say: "EIFF is especially interested in films by emerging filmmakers whose work manifests stylistic boldness, strength of form, and the ambition to use the medium in a way that resists cliché."
